Re: State of the Union: In Peril    By R.D.THOMPSON on 1/29/2010
As an American whom has always believed in the strength of a multi-party system to provide the checks and balances necessary for government of the people, I am distressed by the democrats and repubicans in Washington to seriously, truthfully and honestly examine the issues before our nation. In a true spirit of cooperation that has made this nation great for over 200 years.
To suggest that one side of the aisle has all the answers, and that the other side is absolutely wrong is, in my opinion, absolutely non-democratic, as set forth by the founding fathers of this nation.
It must be recognized that mistakes have been made by both parties. And to resolve the issues before our nation will require both parties to come together.
Following one year in office, to blame the president of this great nation, democrat or republican, for the woes that precede them is, I believe, WRONG!
I do hope, for the sake of our great nation, that our elected officials will recognize the need for understandining, cooperation, and compromise. These tenets that have this the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
Stop the name calling, blaming, and mis-information. LET'S GET TO WORK!!
I thank you.

Let's be fair in recognizing what the state of our nation was in BEFORE President Obama came into office. He came into office with a LAUNDRY LIST of issues that our nation will be dealing with for many, many years to come. Our country has been unraveling at the seams due to many factors. I.e., the reckless and irresponsible actions of our financial sector, poor decisions that lead to the long, arduous, unproductive war in Iraq that has cost us TRILLIONS of dollars. Any man or woman dealt a hand like this has the very difficult task of attempting to dig us out of this mess. President Obama has to start somewhere. Maybe if we all stop the finger pointing and blaming and mud-slinging, we can spend our time more wisely by staying focused on the work ahead to get our country back on track.

Our founding fathers never used the word democracy in the constitution or bill of rights. This is a republic not a democracy! Obama is clearly a marxist, and a puppet for the new world order and I will not stop the name calling. What has happened to our country is by design. Wake up!

I listen to a CNN show last evening (1/29) showing Pres. Obama sparing with the GOP. He admitted seeing their proposal that laid out how we can get everyone healthcare without costing any more. The Pres. said it just won't work, he also admitted that there were something things within his plan that the GOP would approve of such as; competition across state lines. However, he stated we must have across the board regulation so that ins. companies do not relocate to a state with less stringent guidelines. Interestingly, he didn't mention if there was anything else in his plan that the GOP had recommended. One of the senators stood up (I can't remember who it was) and stated simply that Nancy Pelosi totally disregards the GOP. They can't get any recogonization from her what's so ever. Therefore, anything they are attempting to put forth is ignored. Obama, said he will make a better effort to bring the GOP within the folds of this debate. I don't know what all this will mean going forward, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Sounds like Nancy Pelosi needs to feel some pressure as well.
One additional note, when asked if there would be any more government programs that would add to the already mounting debt, he blamed the Bush administration on all of the current problems. Never once admitting that he approved all of the proposals that came down.

Mr. President:
Your agenda to bankrupt this country, redistribute wealth, nationalize all businesses, and control our life through government run health care is not what I want for my country. Your stance on terror and terrorists is unconscionable. You have no business being in charge of our country. I am sure there are plenty of banana republics out there that would love to have you as their dictator. Please get out now before you destroy the greatest country in the world.

We should have term limits for congress and the senate. Eight years at a time, then out for at least Four years before you can run for re-election. Then another Eight years max and out for another four years and then one more chance to eight years and then done.

There are too many elected official who are more interested in paying back favors than taking care of our country as the constitution calls for.

No more freebies to illegal immigrants. Too many of them are bums.

The State of the Union is a joke!! It makes no difference who appears to be in charge.
The Elected officals that profess to represent us do not! They put up a front for thier real boss The Federal Reserve Bank!! The Federal Reserve Bank is no more Federal than Federal Express . For the last 100 years The Forign owned Federal Reserve Bank has been robbing the country, and controling everything. Don't belive me? Where do your taxes go, If you get a refund where does it come from? The Fereral Reserve Bank. Not one dollar of the Tax Money collected goes to runing the country. All Taxes Collected go tward the National Debt(Which was created by The Federal Reserve Bank).WAKE UP!! We have a domestic enemy in the Forgin owned Federal Reserve Bank, wich no one is doing anything about. Every Elected offical should be Impeached. For Breach of Oath of office. When sworn in It sates that they will protect us against ALL ENIMIES FORGIN AND DOMESTIC, which none are doing. The owners of the Federal Reserve Bank Should Be Jailed under the RECO ACT!!!
