Then do something about it by joining Minnesota Majority. Minnesota Majority is an organization seeking to empower private citizens who share the goal of promoting traditional values in public policy.
We are in the midst of a battle between those who cherish our nation’s traditional values and those who want to radically remake America into a secular progressive country. Progressives have been winning many public policy debates because most people are simply not aware of what is happening and therefore not engaged in the debate. Community leaders, church leaders and elected officials who should be speaking-out on many of these issues are often silenced by their fear of being demonized by the secular media. Now, more than ever, its critical for private citizens to be informed on the issues and engaged in the process.
Putting Principles Before Politics
We cannot depend upon political parties to defend our values. Their primary mission is to win elections, not shape public policy. Poitical parties are especially poor at policing their own members who often stray from party platforms. Americans need to put principles ahead of politics and hold people accountable on both sides of the aisle for their votes. Most of today's politicians are more concerned about being "politically correct" than being principled in their position on the issues. These politicians make public policy decisions by taking a poll rather than having the courage to make a principled case for their position. We need elected officials who are willing to stand strong on principles and preserve the precious liberties passed onto us by prior generations of patriots.
We need a new approach to fighting and winning the public policy debate in Minnesota. Minnesota Majority was founded for this purpose. We are working to:
- EDUCATE the public on the importance of traditional values and ideas
- EXPOSE the record of elected officials
- BUILD a network of grassroots supporters
- INFLUENCE the legislative process
- HOLD elected officials accountable for their actions.
Through these actions, we aim to rekindle our Founding Fathers' vision for America and restore traditional values to our state's public policy. Our long-term vision is to create a movement that will spawn the next generation of leaders in Minnesota.
Minnesota Majority was established with the belief that a majority of Minnesotans embrace traditional values. Many people simply don't have ready access to the information on the issues and therefore are unengaged in the public policy debate. We believe that by getting people informed on the issues and providing them with the tools to easily engage in the debate we can we can motivate people to get involved and make a difference.
We are a non-partisan social welfare non-profit organization under section 501(c)4 of the Internal Revenue Service code.
